3、人行道透水砖路面需要先在基层上铺设垫层，垫层所起到的作用主要是增强路面的强度以及耐久性，材料的要求上必须要兼具透水性和蓄水性。一般常用的垫层材料有级配碎石或者无砂混凝土，如果选择无砂混凝土作为垫层，则直径应保持在5—10毫米之间，直径较大的颗粒所占比例不能超过35%，否则会对强度有所影响。

5、铺设好人行道透水砖找平层之后就可以在面层铺设透水砖了，铺设时可从边角处开始施工，由外向内进行，人工铺设和机械整体铺装都可以。为了确保面层透水砖铺设整齐美观，平整度更好，可先在铺设床上拉出直线将铺设图案先勾勒出来，然后按照预设的图案来铺装，利用橡胶锤轻轻敲击透水砖，使其具备一定的埋深，同时也可以通过这种方法来调整表面的平整度。

6、当透水砖面层的所有透水砖都铺设完成之后，为了确保牢固度，还需要进行夯实工作。夯实路面时要注意压力的大小，不同厚度的透水砖所使用的压力不相同。

8、为了让细砂更好的填补到缝隙内，铺设后的养护也需要格外注意。前期养护可使用缓流水柱慢慢清刷，并将路面上多余的细砂清扫干净。前期养护一般为3天左右，后期不需要频繁的进行清扫或者清刷了。
